She had her first encounter with yoga as a result of her passion for martial arts. Yoga helped her to recover from injury and since then yoga has always been a help to her, both on the mat and in her daily life.

Cindya has lived in many places around the world, including India. There she became acquainted with many styles of yoga, such as Sivananda, Iyengar, Asthanga and Vinyasa Flow yoga. Each of these styles has influenced her current style of teaching. In 2009 she successfully completed her yoga instructor’s training in Vinyasa Flow in New Delhi and has already taught in India. Since completing her basic training, she has attended advanced training courses wherever she happens to be.  When she moved from India to Switzerland with her family in 2011, she got to know Anusara yoga and since then has continued further intensive training – under Katchie Ananda, Sue Elkind, Chris Chavez, Marc Holzman and Mark Stephens among others. In May 2013 she completed an additional 200-hour yoga teacher training course taught by Chris Chavez (RYT).

Her teaching style is powerful and includes aspects of Hatha, Vinyasa and Anusara yoga. She is inspired by her two daughters, she can be dynamic, playful, occasionally experimental, but is always accompanied by a sense of lightness, but without losing her focus on achieving the correct alignment.

Cindya is a certified pre- and post-natal yoga instructor (certified by the Yoga Alliance, RPYT). Alongside regular teaching, she also shares her knowledge in the field of pre- and post-natal yoga via teacher trainings.

Cindya’s interest in pregnancy yoga developed during her first pregnancy. At the time she was living in India and had no idea how she should adapt her yoga practice. Armed only with a book, she modified her yoga sessions as best she could. Based on this experience, she decided to deepen her knowledge of pregnancy yoga, so as to provide guidance for other women during this special time and completed her Pre-and Postnatal Training with Sue Elkind in  2013 (www.digpregnancy.com).

Always looking for new inspiration how to integrate yoga in daily life with kids and in schools Cindya completed her Kids Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with Cayetana Rodenas to become a certified kids yoga teacher.

She is also an ayurvedic lifeystlye coach.
